On 16 December, 2003, Eastern Shore Sanctuary co-founder and coordinator Pattrice Jones was the guest on the "Ecologic" radio programme on WBAI/NY.

During the first half of the hour-long programme, Pattrice tells the story of how she and her partner Miriam started the sanctuary, introducing listeners to the birds along the way. During the second half of the programme, Pattrice discusses activist tactics, the globalization of factory farming, and the relationship between meat consumption and other forms of violence, such as warfare.
