What is this orange thing on a plate?
The roosters move in to investigate.


The roosters sound the all clear:
There's nothing to fear from vegan pumpkin pie!
Reassured, the hens move in for a tasty treat.


The last watermelon of the season had been saved for the meal.
Birds in the main yard jostle for their fair share.


Life in the hen yard moves at a slower pace.


Ducks and chickens share a leisurely holiday drink...


...then retire together for a nap in the bushes.


Back in the main yard, some prefer an after-lunch walk.
Odessa (black hen) and Monty (multicolored rooster) share a stroll.


At the end of the day we could say that a good time was had by all.
Most birds retired to the coops for a cozy night cuddled up together.
But these roosters elected to say "goodnight" from the treetops.
